Talya Schapiro
Trial Lawyer
In July 2019, Talya joined the Kazlaw team. Prior to joining Kazlaw, Talya practiced at a plaintiff personal injury firm that focused on helping plaintiffs with brain injuries and other catastrophic injuries.
Talya has practiced exclusively in the area of plaintiff personal injury. She has worked on cases involving traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, chronic pain, orthopedic injury, and psychiatric and psychological disorders. She has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia.
Talya is passionate about finding creative ways to maximize her clients’ claims so as to obtain full compensation for their injuries. She recognizes that the legal process can be an overwhelming maze for clients and does her utmost to ensure clients feel supported during the course of their litigation.
Prior to attending law school, Talya obtained a Masters of Industrial Relations and worked in the field of labour relations and human resources. Realizing she could have a greater impact on the lives of others as an advocate, she made the decision to pursue a law degree.
Outside the practice of law, Talya enjoys exploring the outdoors, in particular, hiking and biking, with her husband and daughter.
